Square Chronicles Home :: Final Fantasy VIII

Final Fantasy VIII follows a story about a young girl called Rinoa and a SeeD
Cadet called Squall. Rinoa growing up as a carefree girl with none of the stucture
that Squall likes to have in his life. Rinoa and Squall never knew each other
till major changes started in one of the major cities called Galbandia. A mysterious
sorceress has gained rank to the top and has taken over the town. Can Squall
and his fellow SeeD cadets take down this sorceress or is there more to this
story than meets the eye?
The second game in the series on the Playstation, this game like Final Fantasy
VII has more than one disk, this time four (one more than Final Fantasy VII).
The game has built on what Final Fantasy VII started graphics wise, instead
of having squares and triangles showing the characters they are more closer
to what the Final Fantasy's look like on the PS2. The cut scenes alone are worth
the game, so close to being a real life movie when you watch them for some its
hard to tell the difference. This game also brings a fun mini game, Triple Triad.
A game with nine squares and cards with pictures from the characters and creatures
of Final Fantasy VIII alot play the game to collect the whole set in game. A
rule to keep in mind when playing this game is DON'T level up when you start
playing, the creatures you attack level up with you so its easier for you to
get through the game as low of a level as you can be till disk three than to
level like other RPG games.
